Getting to know Playa del Carmen – El Cielo

For those of you familiar with Playa del Carmen and the different areas, when you think gated community, most of you first think of Playacar Phase II. Golf course community, beautiful homes, a great place for a vacation home, mid-range prices for condos to high priced golf course homes.

As Playa del Carmen continues to grow, there are new gated communities being developed, that offer great options in real estate, often times at a lower price than Playacar. We previously discussed Playa Magna and the options there, very close to Playa Magna you’ll find the gated community of El Cielo.

El Cielo is just a quick drive from 5th Avenue but far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet and a slower pace of life. A very nice infrastructure in place, underground utilities, paved roads and a bike/walking path make life in El Cielo perfect for those raising a family or retirees.  The other day I took a tour around El Cielo to check out the new offerings and how the area is being developed. The great thing about this area, especially for people wanting to build their own homes, is that you can do it and not break the bank. There are lots for sale and also a developer that is offering custom homes, beautiful projects that enable you to design your dream home.  In Playacar Phase II you can expect to pay around $350,000 USD for a house, where in El Cielo there are options available starting at just $215,000 USD.

Aside from that El Cielo has condo developments in construction, one in particular that I paid a visit to was Hacienda Escondida, from the same builder as Hacienda del Rio, Mexican style condos, spacious, with great finishings and customization options, starting at just $172,500 USD.   This project is really going to be unique, not only will it have a shared common area pool, but a cenote that the builder is planning on adding rocks, waterfalls, stairs for easy access, for those that have visited Xplor, thing something like that but with less adventure and more relaxation.

Consider El Cielo as a great option for a gated community, close to everything, lower prices than Playacar, now is the time to invest in this developing gated community.
